BEC is thrilled to announce Kirby Henslee as our new Director of Government Relations. Kirby is a passionate advocate for educational opportunities for children in need. Kirby previously managed the international basic education policy portfolio for Save the Children-US and worked closely with BEC on basic education advocacy. He has been an active member of the BEC Steering Committee and is very familiar with basic education legislation, the appropriations process, and the international education community. He looks forward to building support in Congress for the Basic Education Caucus, advocating for smart policy decisions, and protecting funding for basic education programming.
