BEC members rallied for an advocacy day on Capitol Hill on March 14th. Members met with 25 offices about the importance of international basic education. Members shared their diverse experiences and insights regarding the positive impact of U.S. funding for international Basic Education. Common talking points unified their voices around three main requests to Congressional offices: 1) sign a letter urging the SFOPs Subcommittee to provide FY20 funding for Basic Education, 2) co-sponsor the Keeping Girls in School Act, and 3) join the Congressional International Basic Education Caucus.
